What people say about us

Eyecare
At McLeish Eyecare, we provide the most thorough eye examinations as standard. The use of the most advanced technology ensures we have the best possible picture of your eyes. For example, a state-of-the-art scanner* shows us deep into your eyes and the surrounding areas, whilst the visual field machine detects early signs of diseases such as glaucoma.
Did you know an eye examination can even detect signs of other health conditions, such as heart disease, strokes, tumours and diabetes? Our optometrists are incredibly well qualified and experienced, so using the latest technology, combined with their expertise, means you are in very safe hands.

Children's Eyecare
Just like early visits to the dentist, children should have their first eye examination in their pre school year, when they are around four-years-old. However, if you have any concerns before then, please don’t hesitate to book them in.
Conditions such as a squint, lazy eye or long-sightedness, can often be reversed if caught early. Children who are reluctant readers, may also find a trip to the optician will make all the difference, whether they need glasses, or perhaps simply a colour-overlay to make reading more comfortable, we can give you some advice to make reading easier for them.
Contact Lenses
Being an independent practice allows us to offer a much wider range of contact lenses, ensuring that we select the lens that best suits your needs. We have the time and space to spend with you to help you feel comfortable with your new lenses to give you the best possible chance of success with them.
We also offer night lenses, also known as orthokeratology (ortho-k) lenses, which you only wear at night. Perfect if you are sporty and can’t, or don’t want to, wear lenses by day, or just if you don’t like wearing lenses on a daily basis. They cleverly reshape the eye at night leaving you with perfect vision without lenses by day. Please ask your optician for further information.
